NEW MODEL POLICE CONVERSION REVOLVER. Cal. 38 RF. S# 114. Bbl. 4.5" oct. Standard configuration. Bbl. has 3 line address. Profusely engraved w/ foliate scrolls on frame, trigger guard & cyl. Additional engraved designs are found on loading arm & bbl. Originally gold washed silver finish though only traces of gold seen externally though under grips, frame retains original gold. Standard patented 2 piece cyl. S# 114 found on bottom of bbl. & on frame under grips. Cyl. is numbered 2464 plus an additional 381. CONDITION: very good overall. Retains about half its original silver plate w/ traces of gold in protected areas. Externelaly gun appears original & complete, w/ exception of replaced lever screw. 2 Piece walnut grips retain about 20% of their original factory varnish w/ moderate edge wear. Revolver lacks mainspring but otherwise mechanics appear to be fine. Discerning rifling in pitted bore. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Gary Parietti. (01-19261/JS). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
