Cal. 32 Rem. S# C37928. Bbl. 21 7/8". Model 14 slide action rifle mfg. by Remington UMC. Top rear of the bbl. is marked with Remington UMC's 3-line mfg. and patent information, with the Remington trademark logo and cal. designation marked on the left. Left side of receiver features a factory installed circular brass plate marked "REM-UMC/ U/ 32 REM". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white. Grooved wood forearm and plain wood pistol grip buttstock with checkered steel Remington UMC buttplate. German silver tipped blade front sight with wheel pattern U-notch rear sight graduated "A" through "H". CONDITION: metal components retain good amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina, scattered marks and scratches, as well as scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Bore exhibits consistent dark mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered marks, dings, and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. Buttstock exhibits flaking to its varnish finish, with fair amounts of varnish remaining. Buttplate is proud to the buttstock at the tip of the comb. (26-83/MLW). CURIO. $400-600.
