RIFLE. Cal. 35 Rem. S# 67310. Bbl. 24". Model 141 "The Gamemaster" slide action rifle mfg. by Remington. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Remington's mfg. and patent information, followed by the cal. designation. Left side of the receiver is marked with the model designation, followed by the Remington trademark logo above the S#. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the trigger and cartridge elevator, which exhibit a case color hardened finish. Bolt is polished in-the-white. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock with grooved wood forend. Dockendorf open top globe front sight, with adj. Redfield aperture rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning on the mag. tube from cycling of the action. Trigger and elevator retain strong case coloring overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting what appears to be some scattered spots of light surface oxidation while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Bill Peterken.
