CARBINE. Cal. 50-45 CF. S# 2760. Bbl. 23 1/4" rnd. Blade front sight with folding leaf rear sight. Breech end of bbl. is marked with a naval anchor. Right side of rolling block action is stamped "P/ F.W.C." over a navy anchor. Band fastened forearm and straight grip stock with iron carbine buttplate and sling swivels. Quantity of 5,095 circa. 1868-1869. CONDITION: metal has faded brown appearance showing spots of pitting. Wood has dark worn appearance with numerous dents, scratches, and marks. Sound mechanics. Bore is generally bright with strong rifling. (01-27029/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,500-2,500.
