Cal. 22 RF. S# 213. Bbl. 10" part round, part octagon without markings on top or under forend. Rear sight is semi buckhorn elevator adjustable; front is brass blade in dovetailed base. Style of barrel used on 1891 Target Models that were made using Army frames. Both tangs numbered 213; forend and grip not numbered. Mfg. early to mid 1870's. Right side of frame has "P" and "F.C.W." military marks; left side Remington markings at bottom below button. Stock set is smooth without checkering. Modified centerfire firing pin altered to strike top of rim rather than normal bottom impact. Rolling block has sight notch at top. CONDITION: fair to good overall appearance with no case colors; good to very good Nitre blue on rolling block. Cleaned in the white appearance throughout with evidence of prior pitting on barrel. Numerous handling marks on stock set with cluster of dents on butt plus row of light dents on bottom of forend. Poor dark bore with wear, pitting and oxidation; rifling barely visible. (01-22302/NW).
