Cal. 44 Remington CF. S# 13654. Bbl. 7 1/2" rnd. with semi-circular blade front sight. Webbed ejector housing. 6-shot fluted cyl. Nickel finish with lanyard ring at butt. 2-piece ivory grips. Assembly # "282" is found on the inside of the frame, bbl., ejector web, and cyl. Estimated production of 25,000-30,000 circa. 1875-1899. CONDITION: over 70% original nickel with areas of flaking and spotted corrosion being most prevalent on the rear portion of the frame and grip straps. Ivory grips show age related checking and have a mild yellow patina appearance. Sound mechanics. Lightly pitted bore retains sound rifling. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Norm Greenberg Collection.
