Cal. 44 Rem. CF. S# 1075 found on left inside of grip frame. Bbl. shortened to 5 1/2" with dovetailed mounted replacement blade front sight. 6-shot fluted cyl. The Model 1875 is readily identified by its distinctive webbed ejector housing. Reproduction Remington black plastic grips have poor undersized fit along front grip strap. An estimated quantity of 25,000-30,000 were mfg. from 1875-1889. Early production were numbered in sequence. After approx. 14,000 they were numbered primarily in 3-digit batches accounting for many low numbered specimens. CONDITION: metal has a cleaned gray appearance. Sound tight action.
