Cal. 22 Short. S# 72745. Bbl. 19 3/8". Model 24 semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Remington circa. 1922-1935. Top of the bbl. is marked with Remington's mfg. information, with the cal. designation marked on the left. Left side of the receiver is marked "MODEL 24" above the S#. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood forearm and pistol grip buttstock with plain steel Remington UMC buttplate. Wood furniture has been sanded and refinished at one time. Marbles Sheard brass tipped blade front sight and elevation adj. rear sight. Lower assembly matches the receiver via "745". CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting consistent mild surface oxidation and areas of wear fading to gray patina overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of light pitting and a ring bulge approx. 1" from the muzzle, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with the buttstock exhibiting a crack on the left side of the wrist, a crack on the underside of the wrist, as well as bubbling and flaking to its varnish finish.
