Cal. 300 Sav. S# 66759. Bbl. 22". Model 8 semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Remington. Top of the bbl. shroud is marked with Remington's 2-line mfg. and patent information. Left side of the receiver is marked with the Remington trademark logo above the model designation and S#. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the bbl. and bolt assemblies, which are polished in-the-white. Plain wood schnabel tip forearm and straight grip buttstock with grooved steel buttplate. Wood furniture has been lightly sanded and revarnished at one time. Contemporary Lyman natural white beaded blade front sight and 2-screw fastened elevation adj. U-notch rear sight. Left side of receiver exhibits 2 filled in holes, likely from a previously mounted sight attachment. Underside of the bbl. shroud exhibits an added screw, likely for a previous sling swivel attachment. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some light edge wear, some superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light pitting beneath the bluing. Factory markings remain clear and easily legible. Very bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture is very good, exhibiting some superficial handling marks, with some bubbling present on the buttstock.
