Cal. 44. S# 66513. Bbl. 8" octagon with blade sight and 3 line address with September 14, 1858 patent date. 6 Shot round cylinder with safety notches on shoulders. Blue finish with brass trigger guard. Frame has "W" and "H" inspectors marks. Barrel and trigger guard have "L" inspectors marks. 2 Piece walnut grips with partially visible cartouche on left panel. Bottom of both grip panels have inspectors mark "L". Approx. 122,000 mfg. 1863-1875. CONDITION: metal finish shows areas of lightly visible blue fading to brown and showing light surface corrosion. Trigger guard has a patchy dark patina. Grips show wear with some rounding at butt. Functioning action. Bore retains intact rifling showing scattered pitting. (01-21423/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,800.
