Cal. 41CF. S# 15253. Standard configuration 2.5" barrel "E REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, N.Y.", 5-shot fluted cylinder, nickel, checkered hard rubber grips, made 1877-1878 as noted by 15x17" shadowbox display with illustrated advertisements mounted along with cartridges. Shadowbox has Remington logo on glass. CONDITION: revolver is fine retaining 90% of its nickel plating, barrel cleaned to bright where pitted, mechanics fine, crisp rifled bore. Display is fine, fraying to top of John Lovell ad, glass is loose in lid. PROVENANCE: Rock Island Auction, lot 3165, Sept. 9, 2007. (01-28076/JS). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
