Cal. 45 ACP. S# 941116. Bbl. 5" High Standard commonly used on Remington Rands mid 1943 to end of production. Mfg. 1943; S# 916405-1041404, 125,000 units to US Army. Correct slide stop & thumb safety w/out undercuts & w/ checkering. Later period Type E variation 1 hammer as used on Colts rather than proper variation 2. Correct FJA inspector marks, crossed cannons proof & Type 2 arched mainspring housing w/ lanyard loop. Balance of frame components are period correct. Colt slide of 1918 / 1919 vintage as indicated by left side markings plus narrow semi circular front sight blade along w/ Type B flat top U notch rear sight; no arsenal rework marks. Clear lucite replacement grips w/ vintage pin up image under each; likely page from man's magazine. MAGS: 1 good blued 7 rd. w/ light pitting throughout. Base marked "COLT / 45 AUTO". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: very good vintage commercially produced & unmarked brown shoulder holster w/ around the torso retaining belt. Construction & style of retaining strap snap indicates 1950s or 1960s construction. CONDITION: good general appearance w/ typical finish loss & wear marks. All blued bbl. w/ exterior function wear & near excellent bore. (21-1720/NW). CURIO. $800-1,200.
