Cal. 50. NSN. Bbl. 8". Round blade front sight. Left side of frame marked "P S" & w/ Remington patent dates the last of which is April 17th, 1866. Case colored action. Blued bbl., hammer, falling block & trigger. Walnut grips & forend. Left side of grip has partially faded US army "CRS" inspector's cartouche. CONDITION: left side of grip has a small repair, grips otherwise show a couple small chips, a small crack at rear rear right of forend, scattered dings & handling wear. Action retains strong amounts of original case colors w/ overall fading to gray & some scattered light oxidation. Blued parts retain much original finish w/ scattered fading to brown, some edge wear & light oxidation. Very good bore w/ some light oxidation. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E.
