Cal. 50. NSN. Bbl. 8" smoothbore. Round blade front sight. Left side of frame marked "P S" & w/ several patent dates the last of which is April 1866. Blued bbl. & trigger. Case colored frame w/ fire blued screws. Walnut grips & forend. Left grip panel has strong boxed "CRS" US inspector's cartouche. CONDITION: grips & forend show scattered dings & handling wear. Hammer, sideplate, action bolts & falling block appear cleaned w/ light oxidation. Frame & trigger guard retain a strong amount of case colors w/ fading a few light dings & some light oxidation. Bbl. retains a high degree of original blue w/ even fading to brown, a few light dings & edge wear. Bore shows scattered notable pitting & oxidation.
