Cal. 45 ACP. S# 2892 (1918). Per "U.S. Military Automatic Pistols 1894-1920" by Edward Scott Meadows, originally shipped Oct. 17, 1918 within S# block 2,095-3,106. Correct features include: Type 1 double diamond checkered walnut grips, Type B hammer, Type C safety lock tab, Type A slide lock, short tang grip safety, Type 1 mainspring housing, Type 2 mainspring housing pin, Long 1911 trigger, Type C mag. release lock, Type 3 recoil spring plug, Type B recoil spring guide, Type A front sight & Type B rear sight. Replacement Colt Type 5 barrel having intertwined "HP" proof on top of barrel. Left side of frame has "E.E.C" proof & SA eagle's head E1 proof. "E" inspector's proof on back of slide, left side trigger guard & bottom of mainspring housing. Bottom of slide numbered "1022". MAGS: 2 two tone 7 rd. mags. 1 Good overall with spots of patina & wear. 1 Fair overall showing patina, oxidation & sm. dents. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: repro. Remington Rand 1911A1 box. CONDITION: pistol has reblued metal finish showing large areas of wear & scratches on right side pistol. Good grips with some flattened diamonds & scratches. Firing pin & recoil spring guide have slight plum tone from refinish. Refinished barrel shows light wear & light obscuring of proof; very good bore with strong lands beginning to show frosting.
