ADVERTISING ART. Framed cardboard advertisement. Image size 13 5/16" by 10 5/8". Drawing depicts a young boy holding his Model 12A rifle w/ his hand over his dog's muzzle to silence it while peaking around a rock at a woodchuck standing outside it's den by a rock wall. Colorful scene shows a New England farming & woods background. Lower portion has red circular Remington trademark. Box of partially opened Remington UMC 22 cal. cartridges on the right. Center is marked in red "22 CAL. REPEATING RIFLE" over "SOLID BREECH HAMMERLESS". Remington Arms-UMC address is shown along the bottom. Consignor supplied information dates the advertisement to 1913. CONDITION: very good, colors are largely unfaded. Lower right corner shows a spot of tattering. PROVENANCE: The estate collection of Don "Duck" Combs. (02-22864/DS). NON-GUN. $500-800.
