WITH COLLAR SASH. This Native American peace medal is a very decorative reproduction and measures approx. 4” x 2 3/4". The face has a Native American handing President Harrison a peace belt/sash with the words “W.H. HARRISON EEL RIVEY NATION AUG. 8, 1803. VINCENNE”. The reverse shows a spread-winged American eagle with glory above. The bullion-trimmed red velvet collar/sash. A typewritten affixed to the collar reads, in part, “William Harrison Presidential Peace Medal dated Aug. 8, 1803”. CONDITION: medal shows some wear & tarnish. Collar has lost much of the knap and shows moderate to heavy wear. PROVENANCE: Ex-Wes Adams Estate Collection. (02-22406/BF). $200-400.
