PISTOL, CIRCA 1750. Fine example of 65 caliber. NSN. 19" Overall. Bbl. 12", London proofed brass mounted horse pistol. An identical example shown made by John Bumford on page 27 of British Military Pistols by Brooker, 1978. Flat unsupported cock w/ minimal engraving, faceted pan, unbridled frizzen, sideplate w/ 3 screws, single fluted brass ramrod pipe, ramrod w/ integral iron worm & brass capped tip. CONDITION: very good overall, original & complete, mechanically fine w/ smooth pitted bore. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of John "Tim" Breth Jr. (01-17763/JS). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,500.
