CONVERSION PISTOL. Cal. 45. NSN. 13” Overall. 8” Oct. bbl. w/ owners name stamped near muzzle “WH BROWN”. Lock marked: RICHARDS / SLOCOMB & Co / CHARTRES / STREET”. Richards & Slocomb Company were in hardware business only four years 1854-1858. They possibly supplied the drum conversion kit for this old originally flint holster pistol. This is a rare marking for dealer that existed such a short period of time. CONDITION: very good, metal cleaned with mottled gray patina, stock solid well fit. Mechanically fine, good rifled bore.
