SEMI AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 1952795 (National Match S# 2795). Mfg. 1968 by Rock Island Arsenal built US Army National Match 1911A1 pistols for the Camp Perry National Matches, before the Arsenal closed. National Match 5" barrel with matching number "2795" with boxed "C" proof on right side of barrel lug & "M" & "P" proofs on left side of barrel lug. Colt slide has Patridge Type 8 front sight & "US" marked Kensight adjustable square notch rear sight. Left side of slide has drawing number "NM7791435". National Match barrel bushing with matching numbered "2795" electro pencil marks along w/ drawing number "7267718" on face. WWII Remington Rand frame with grooved aluminum National Match trigger & added checkering to front strap. Recoil spring guide has added washers & tight fit to recoil spring. Two piece checkered walnut grips. MAGS: 1 - 7 rd. CONDITION: frame has arsenal refinish with light marks. Slide has very good gray parkerized finish with light wear. Near excellent grips. Barrel has very good to near excellent blue; very good bore with strong rifling & traces of frosting. (24-974/MD). CURIO. $1,500-2,250.
