REVOLVER. Cal. 22. S# 3331. Bbl. 3 1/16". 1 of only approx. 4,300 Pocket Model single action revolvers mfg. by Rollin White Arms between 1861-1864, with the majority, such as this example, being made for Smith & Wesson. Top of the solid rib is marked "Made for Smith & Wesson By Rollin White Arms Co. Lowell Mass.". Butt of brass frame is marked with the S# "3331". Frame is mounted with 2-piece plain wood grips. German silver half-moon blade front sight with diminutive frame V-notch rear sight. All numbered parts are matching via the assembly # "468" and include the frame (left side beneath grip panel), cyl. (rear face), and grips (interior). CONDITION: brass frame has acquired a pleasing mellow patina, exhibiting some scattered superficial marks and small impressions. Iron parts have faded to a mottled gray patina, exhibiting some light pitting, and areas of age related discoloration overall. Relatively bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots and patches of moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some superficial marks and small impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. (01-28050/MLW). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
