Cal. 455 Eley. S# 10447. Bbl. 4". Round blade front sight. V-notch rear sight. Top strap has a large Royal Navy broad arrow marking. Matching numbers on bbl. and frame. No visible number on the cyl., and the cyl. appears shaved for 45 ACP/AR. Left side of the bbl. is marked "ENGLAND". Right side of the bbl. has an asterisk. Backstrap marked "N/49". Left rear of the frame is marked "C/N/1" and "106"; other parts have broad arrow markings and various proofs. Extractor stays outward when the cyl. is opened and will require attention to fix. Checkered brown grips. Lanyard ring is missing. CONDITION: both grip panels show notable chips at the bottom; grips otherwise show flattened checkering and scattered handling marks. Front frame screw is missing its lower half. Metal is mostly a smoky gray patina with scattered oxidation & dings. Bore has worn rifling with scattered oxidation. (01-25413/MJC). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
