Cal. 22 LR. S# 75746. Bbl. 4 1/8" Lilja bull barrel of .900" diameter. Front globe sight with post insert has the appearance of being a large diameter (.800") Lyman 17A on a Lyman 25 dovetailed base; rear sight is an adjustable BO-MAR. Mfg. 1956 (1951-1982) as Ruger's target version of their Standard Auto pistol. Finish on upper barrel / receiver assembly appears to be Cerakote or baking lacquer; square profiled muzzle is in the white and grip frame has original bluing. Front strap is coarsely checkered matching its Fitz brown plastic RH thumbrest target grips that have had similar checkering added to their front edges along with slight relief at bottom rear of right grip. Barrel brand is arguably the best available and often used by high ranking benchrest shooters. Top of receiver additionally drilled and tapped for a scope base; fitted with plug screws. Noticeably weighty with balance point at middle finger position when gripped. Front of frame has small access hole aligned with bore allowing for over travel adjustment by an Allen wrench. MAGS: 3 TOTAL 9 rd. having one side charging slots of early style; 2 good and 1 like new. CONDITION: good general grip frame finish with checkering alteration plus notable finish loss on grip straps. Altered non-original grips as described. Upper barrel / receiver assembly is near excellent including bore. (26-1227/NW). MODERN. $300-400.
