Cal. 45. S# 148-06933. Bbl. 5 1/2". Mfg. 2005 as blued prototype 50th Anniversary example w/ "1949 - FIFTY YEARS - 1999" on bbl. RENE reference guide lists 1 known prototype as # 148-07225 & does not mention fluted cyl. that this prototype has (retains "FOR BLACK POWDER ONLY" markings), only mentions same bbl. markings. Previously known example sold in 2007 by Rugers' website benefit auction #16 for $1,360. Smooth rosewood grips w/ silver eagle medallions. Standard hammer & wide, smooth faced trigger. Rare w/ 5 1/2" bbl. & exceedingly so as anniversary prototype. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory gray plastic case w/ packaging to include nipple wrench. Copy of Ruger letter indicating shipped to VT. plus notation that it was a prototype per Hiddleson email. CONDITION: very faint staining on sides of hammer & light rub marks on bullet seater; all other aspects near excellent including bore & grips. (01-19099/NW). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
