Cal. 22 LR. S# A484. Bbl. 4" with tall fluted (staked) serrated blade sight; frame notched rear. Mfg. 1958 (1958-1970) as BC4 having drilled through base pin latch, dimpled ejector rod head and rosin impregnated rosewood grips without medallions (only Ruger handgun model to be made without medallions). Black anodized alloy frame of Remington New Model percussion style with brass toned anodized alloy trigger guard. Approximately 12,000 made in this configuration with letter prefix serial number; "Alphacats" highly sought after by collectors. Original lockwork without factory safety update. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory matching numbered 2 piece box with hanging NRA / warranty card and first issue manual without a date. End label numbered up left edge plus "484" in larger font by grease pencil below "BEARCAT". Good to very good with noticeable scuffs on top left edge of lid plus light scuffs on right. CONDITION: hint of thinning finish at muzzle plus loss on face of cylinder due to contact with rear of barrel; balance clearly near excellent including bore and grips. (23-6563/NW). CURIO. $600-800.
