Cal. 22 LR. S# G088. Bbl. 4" with a tall, fluted (staked), serrated blade sight; frame notched rear. Mfg. 1959 (1958-1970) as BC4, having a drilled-through base pin latch, dimpled ejector rod head, and rosin-impregnated rosewood grips without medallions (the only Ruger handgun model to be made without medallions). Black anodized alloy frame of Remington New Model percussion style with brass-toned anodized alloy trigger guard. Approximately 12,000 were made in this configuration with the letter prefix serial number "Alphacats", highly sought after by collectors. Original lockwork without a factory safety update.
