Cal. 44 Mag. S# 80-58490. Bbl. 7 1/2" with serrated blade integral to ramped base for front sight plus frame mounted factory adjustable rear sight. Mfg. 1973 (1959-1973) as S47 with standard features of protected sight cylinder frame, triangular shaft on ejector rod, alloy ejector housing, drilled through base pin latch, collared base pin plus Dragoon shaped steel grip frame having oiled walnut grips; silver eagle medallions. Six groove barrel has Southport address with eagle logo and "INC.". Original lock work without factory safety update. Originally from the Texas collection of Bob Baer who was a personal friend of gun writers John Taffin and Skeeter Skelton. Baer was known for his collection of fine single action revolvers that included many Rugers; he passed away in October of 2022. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: fair factory 2 piece black and red box plus 69 dated reproduction owners manual. One corner of top and bottom (matching) is broken plus large section of top finish gone due to tape application. Letter from Tyler Gun Works of August 2023 certifying that the revolver was from the Bob Baer estate. Tyler Gun Works is well known for its Ruger gunsmithing work as well as creation of Ruger special issues. CONDITION: all aspects near excellent as high polish refinished including bore and grips.
