Cal. 22 LR. S# 634885. Bbl. 6" pinned with patent info on top, company name on left plus caliber on right. Integral base for its Patridge blade front sight. Frame mounted adjustable rear sight match polished to top strap. Mfg. 1931-1940; 19,500 units. Blued 5 screw K frame with Circassian walnut checkered grips having diamond centers and small silver medallions. Matching numbers on frame, barrel, cylinder (with dowel pins), extractor and grips. Case colored standard grooved trigger and finely checkered hammer with patent date. Grip straps each with 6 grooves. CONDITION: good overall appearance with factory quality refinish. Light scratches, high point wear, function wear to include faint cylinder turn line, small spots of pin prick oxidation and section with appearance of touch up bluing (left top rear of barrel and adjacent area of top strap). Near excellent bore and very good plus grips. Mechanically fine with proper timing. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of George Staden S&W Member #3451. (25-74/NW). CURIO. $500-750.
