Cal. 22 LR. S# 488155. Bbl. 6" pinned with integral base having 1/10" Patridge blade. Frame contoured adjustable rear sight is later style with T-slot in frame similar to modern S&W's. Mfg. 1915 -1935 (1911-1941 for all .22/32 HE's) as Bekeart style became a regular model in 1935 (S#160000) with recessed chambers in cylinders (this is not recessed and with dowel pins). Bekeart style, as "true" Bekeart's were a special orders to a dealer in San Francisco. The term "Target Model" came into use post 1945. Matching numbered frame, barrel, cylinder, ejector and grips (by pencil internally; no number on butt exterior). Case colored serrated trigger and hammer with finely checkered spur. CONDITION: very good appearance with some thinning at high points such as muzzle and a noticeable turn line on cylinder. Good to very good grips with light marks in butt area. Good case colors with function wear. Near excellent bore. Fine mechanics with proper timing. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of George Staden S&W Member #3451. (25-73/NW). CURIO. $450-600.
