Cal. 32 S&W Long. S# 313720. Bbl. 3 1/4" pinned with integral 1/2 moon front sight; frame notched rear. Mfg. 1917-1942 (271,531 units) as 5 screw round butt I frame with blued finish and checkered hard rubber grips. Case colored smooth faced trigger and hammer with finely checkered spur. Locking lug on barrel with caliber on left and company info on right; patent info on top. Missing S&W logo below cylinder latch. Matching numbers on frame, barrel with "B" to indicate blued finish, cylinder, extractor and grips. No company info on lower right front of frame; occurred on some examples. CONDITION: very good general appearance that is likely refinished as logo is missing on frame. Occasional small areas of pinprick oxidation, slight thinning at muzzle and light cylinder turn line. Very good appearing grips having slight crack going through screw hole on left; not visible on exterior. Good bore with distinct rifling and light pitting. Fine mechanical functioning with proper timing. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of George Staden S&W Member #3451. (25-62/NW). CURIO. $200-300.
