Cal. 38 Spl. S# 5K82234. Bbl. 6" pinned w/ rib having Patridge sight blade plus matching serial number on bottom flat; Micrometer rear. Originally invoiced June 24, 1974 to US Atomic Energy Comm. in TN to later become one of Roy Jinks' personal "shooter" revolvers; no accounting of transfer to Jinks who was a long time, renowned historian for S&W. Factory original blued finish w/ case colored service grooved trigger & matching checkered hammer. Superb smooth Goncalo Alves target grips w/ thumb recess having matching grain pattern & silver factory medallions. Matching numbered ejector; cyl. not numbered. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: copy of factory ledger sheet supporting above info. CONDITION: very good to excellent appearance w/ finish loss appearing from chemicals confined to last 2" of bbl. Slight cyl. turn line & very minimal traces of firing residue in frame. Occasional very faint mark, thinning or function wear. Balance of revolver is near excellent including bore & grips. PROVENANCE: Formerly of the Roy Jinks collection. (22-6015/NW). MODERN. $700-1,000.
