Cal. 44 Spl. S# 34835. Bbl. 4" shrouded with integral 1/2 moon blade front sight; frame notched rear. Mfg. 1926-1941; often referred to as Model 1926 Hand Ejector or Wolf & Klar Model. Wolf & Klar of Fort Worth, Texas first requested the shrouded ejector rod and it was usually a special order until catalogued in 1940. Grooved trigger and finely checkered hammer spur plus smooth grip straps. Non-factory chrome finish. Checkered Magna walnut grips are late production without diamond centers (stamp numbered 166720). Matching numbered 5 screw N frame, cylinder, barrel and extractor. CONDITION: fair overall with much flaking of plating and some peppery oxidation. Very good bore with hint of frosting. Top of front sight lightly flattened. Good to very good grips with frame proud at butt. Near excellent timing yet cylinder bolt seems undersized for cylinder notches. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of George Staden S&W Member #3451. (25-68/NW). CURIO. $350-500.
