Cal. 300 Savage. S# 341379. Bbl. 24" tapered round. Takedown action w/ grade A factory engraving. Engraving consists of wedges of scroll on receiver sides w/ highlights that extend to upper areas of receiver & breech end of bbl. Straight line borders extend to lower receiver & forearm shoe. Features include brass rotary mag., left side cartridge counter, case colored lever & bent tab safety. Ramp mounted bead front sight, rear sight is removed to allow for scope mount attachment. Weaver model 330 scope w/ external adj. having post reticle & yellow colored lens. Schnable tipped takedown forearm & hard rubber capped pistol grip stock of fancy walnut w/ hand checkering & grooved steel buttplate. Leather sling w/ Supergrade style swivels on original scope bases. Introduced in 1926 & discontinued in 1940. The 99-K had many features that were special order during earlier years. It is often considered the most beautiful & desirable of the standard models. Mfg. 1933. CONDITION: 90% lightly faded blue showing muzzle & edge wear w/ additional spots of fading & handling marks. Left side of receiver has plug screws in two added holes for sight or scope mount attachment. Lever retains 70% case colors, original protective coating is flaking. Original wood finish shows scattered spots of flaking & crazing w/ scratches & marks. Good mechanics. Very good bright bore. (24-1485/DS). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
