FACTORY BOX. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 237859. Bbl. 3 3/4". Model 1917 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Savage. Top of the slide is marked with Savage's mfg. and patent information, followed by the dual cal. designation "CAL. 32./ 7.65. M-M.". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the trigger, which exhibits a case color hardened finish, as well as the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Savage checkered black hard rubber grips. Fixed half-moon blade front sight, with fixed square notch rear sight. MAGS: 1 10-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original non-matching factory box, containing a Savage Model 1917 pamphlet. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, with spots/areas of light to mild surface oxidation present overall. Trigger retains traces of its original case color hardened finish. Bore exhibits consistent mild to moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips are good, showing some smoothing, as well as some scattered superficial handling marks. Box shows some losses to its exterior layer, as well as several tears on the lid, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. End label exhibits some minor losses and tears. (25-2537/MLW).
