SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. 2 3/4". S# 78570. Bbl. 26" plain w/ fixed IC choke. Left side of frame is marked "P" over flaming bomb followed by "U.S.". Bbl. has "P" over flaming bomb markings. Finger groove forearm & pistol grip walnut stock. LOP: altered to 14 1/2" over an aftermarket solid black pad. Savage supplied 14,527 Model 720 shotguns between riot & training configurations in 1943-44. CONDITION: 70% lightly worn blue. Wood has flat black painted finish. Right side of forearm has a long crack extending from action. Stock has small chips around action tangs. Very good bright bore. Sound mechanics. (24-5184/DS). CURIO. $300-500.
