CARBINE. Cal. 303 Savage. S#. 340056. Bbl. 20" tapered rd. German silver blade front, sporting rear & Lyman combination tang sight. Action features; brass rotary mag., shell counter, cocking indicator & bent tab safety. Band fastened walnut forearm. Blue finish w/ case colored lever. Stock has flat side pads & comb w/ steel carbine buttplate. Mfg. in 1932. CONDITION: 70% dull original blue showing carry wear w/ area of fading Buttplate shows spots of at the heel. Lever shows traces of case colors. Sanded & refinished wood shows dents & marks w/ a small chip on left side of forearm forward of the action. Bright near excellent bore. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1988/DS). CURIO. $600-900.
