MODEL PERCUSSION TARGET REVOLVER.
Cal. 44 S# 1721. Witloe precision only made these high quality for a couple of years in the late 50's. The "Grant" model had a steel frame whereas the "Lee" had a bronze frame. The 2nd generation guns were made in the mid 60's from left over parts. This revolver has 7" octagon barrel stamped with maker's name and Collingdale PA address. Steel frame is unmarked except for S# on bottom of grip. Action is fitted with "Bo-mar" target rear sight. Trigger guard is bronze. CONDITION: very fine with only some high edge wear noted on frame and front of cylinder. Bolt drag marks are evident. Walnut grips have a few light scratches. Maker's name has over strike and is hard to read. Bright shiny bore, mechanically good. Trigger pull is crisp, but light. (01-22736/MGM). ANTIQUE. $600-1,000.
