GUN. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 87390 (1925). The 32" demi-bloc barrel with octagonal rear portion is fitted with slightly raised matted ventilated rib holding two white beads. Side flats of barrel are engraved "Von Lengerke & Detmold" "U.S.A. Agents - New - York". Barrel flats are stamped with 1925 Belgian nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Case hardened (gray finish) boxlock action with decorative side plates is engraved with near full coverage small simple scroll as background for attractive large open flowing acanthus scroll. "A. Francotte Maker & Patentee Leige Belgium" is at the bottom of each lockplate. Blued top lever and trigger guard are engraved with matching scroll. S# is on trigger guard tang. Recently made high quality pistol grip buttstock with Monte Carlo comb is of lightly streaked and fiddle figured European walnut. Stock measures 13 7/8" over red Pachmayr basket weave pad. Very well cut point pattern checkering is at grip, grip cap is of horn. Matching long beavertail type ejector forend has Deeley release. MEASUREMENTS: BBL: Bore Diameter: .724". Restriction: .030" (full). Wall thickness: .045". STOCK: DAH: 1 13/16". DA rear of Monte Carlo 1 1/4". DAC: 1 3/8"+. CAST: neutral. LOP: 13 7/8". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 15 oz. CONDITION: very fine as restocked. Barrel retaining nearly all of what appears to be original blue with some high edge wear. Action retains most of its subdued case color. Trigger guard reblued. Very high quality recently made stocks retain nearly all of their original oil finish with some light scratches mostly on right side of butt. Very well done checkering shows very little wear.
