COMMERCIAL VL&D AGENT MARKED SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH STOCK. Cal. 7.63mm. S# 35952. Bbl 5 1/2". Early Pre-War Commercial Mauser C96 with fixed front sight and tangent sight graded 50-1000. Long extractor, two-lug firing pin, small ring hammer, thin trigger. Three-line address on top of chamber with full S# on left chamber flat. Crown/C/U on the left side of the barrel extension. Antler proof on the right side. Two-line Mauser address on the right side of the frame. Import-marked on the left of the frame "VON LENGERKE/ & DETMOLD/ NEW-YORK". Fitted with serrated wood panels. Fully matching internally and externally, including the grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory matching stock and separated box label. CONDITION: near excellent, with 95-97% bright original rust blue. Small parts in comparable condition, though a corner of the cursor with discoloration. Oil-darkened grips, retaining most of the finish, with light scattered handling marks. Bright bore, slightly etched, with sharp rifling. Stock is approximately very good-plus, slightly darkened, especially around the iron on the right side. Left side near iron marked with initials "LL". Hardware faded as expected, particularly over the lug, with no suggestion of touch-up. A very nice, super early, and all-matching Pre-War Commercial, VL&D-marked, with factory-matched stock.
