SIDEPLATED BOXLOCK EJECTOR GAME GUN WITH CASE. Cal. 12 Ga., 3". S# SO5743A. Bbls. monobloc are fitted with concave game rib marked "Beretta" toward rear. Side of right bbl. is marked with Beretta USA info and warning. Side of left bbl. is stamped w/ gauge information, and with Beretta name and address along with "Made in Italy". Bbl. flats are stamped with 2003 Italian Nitro proofs for 3" chambers. Coin finished sideplated boxlock action features selective single trigger with selector in non automatic safety button. Action and lockplates are engraved with exceptionally well cut and shaded varying size scroll with floral highlights interspersed with unengraved areas to dramatic effect. P. Beretta is on scrolled device on each lockplate and on bottom of action which is also inlaid with a gold rectangle engraved "JIUBLEO II". Fences are engraved with larger shaded scroll with floral highlights. This fine engraving extends to trigger guard and tang. Engraver's signatures "C. Giovanelli" and "V. Sabatti" are on trigger plate. Finely marbled and attractively figured flesh tone European walnut slight swan neck buttstock measures 14 7/8" over checkered wood buttplate. Closely spaced point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter ejector forend with Anson release has switch to select either manual extraction or automatic ejection of spent cartridges. Case also comes with its shipping box for protection. CONDITION: exceptionally fine, appears unfired with only the slightest handling and assembling marks on all factory finishes. Mechanically crisp. Case leather is very fine as protected by box which has rubs and bumps. Case interior is also very fine. When last available, this gun retailed at $15,250. (22-4510/MGM). MODERN. $8,500-13,000.
