GUARD" POCKET REVOLVER. Cal. 32RF. S# 67. Standard configuration revolver which less than 300 or thought made due to Smith & Wesson's infringement lawsuit. 4" octagonal barrel marked "BACON MFG CO NORWICH, CONN". Most unusual design for loading, trigger guard has to be unscrewed to remove the cylinder which must be removed to load. CONDITION: very good overall, strong traces of blued finish on barrel, cylinder, and frame. Hammer has muted case color, 2-piece grips are sound and well fit with edge wear and one chip. Barrel address only partially struck. Mechanically fine, good rifled bore. PROVENANCE: Martin Lane Historic & Western Americana Lifetime Collection. (01-24619/JS). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
