EXCALIBUR BLR FIELD GUN WITH CASE & ACCESSORIES. Cal. 20 Ga. 2-3/4". S# F0544. The 31" monobloc barrels fitted with matted solid rib have maker's name engraved on left side of top barrel. Bottom of monobloc is stamped with 2005 Italian nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers and importer's mark (BSA NY). Coin finished round bodied low profile small size O/U action with removable trigger/firing group features non-automatic safety and non-selective trigger. Well filed action is engraved with full coverage dramatically shaded medium size scroll by the highly regarded Alberto Pasolini who's signature ("inc A. Pasolini") appears on trigger group housing. His fine scroll surrounds maker's name in arched device on each side along with "EXCALIBUR BLR" on bottom. Well marbled and lightly figured long pistol grip buttstock measures 14-3/4" over black decelerator pad. Stock features engraved steel grip cap and closely spaced point pattern checkering at grip with right hand palm swell. Matching one piece field type forend is near fully checkered and has Anson type release with central button resembling a Deeley latch. MEASUREMENTS: STOCK: DAH: 2-5/16". DAC: 1-3/8". CAST: about 1/2" off. LOP: 14-3/4". WEIGHT: 6 lb. 14 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in its original Famars embossed blue ABS case with tan trim. Case contains: bags for barrels and action, plastic box with 4 Teague choke tubes with wrench (2 tubes in gun for a total of 6), stock removal tool and paperwork including proof certificate and instruction booklet in green vinyl wallet. CONDITION: exceptionally fine. Metal retaining essentially all original finish. Stocks have a few scattered marks in their original varnish. Checkering is still light in color. Action is tight. Breech face shows very faint firing halos. Mechanically fine. A very nice little gun. (24-5144/MGM). MODERN. $12,000-18,000.
