COMBINATION HOLSTER. Extremely rare leather combination holster mfg. under contract for the Pre-War Belgian army. Very few of these holsters exist today because they were converted by the Germans to hold only pistols due to a shortage of holsters for high powers during the war. This original Belgian combination holster has two compartments, one for a pistol and one for a shoulder stock. Black leather construction, with nickel plated brass fittings on the closure flap and pistol holster body. Rear features 2 leather belt loops, with 2 brass shoulder strap rings. Closure flap is marked with a boxed "AC.39" above an empty box (used prior to 1938 to apply the S#). CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting wear and scattered marks from handling and storage, with some scattered areas of age related cracking and crazing. Nickel plated brass fittings retain the majority of their original nickel, exhibiting some areas of wear, thinning, and flaking. Brass shoulder strap rings retain a pleasing mellow patina. An exceptional Belgian army pre-war High Power combination holster. (02-24307/MLW). NON-GUN. $1,000-1,500.
