QUALITY SXS SHOTGUN. Cal. 28 GA. S# 26242. High quality shotgun mfg. by Lindner of Suhl, Prussia in 1938. Less than 3,000 Prussian Dalys in all grades and gauges were mfg. by Lindner. Bbl. 28" of Krupp fluid steel. Ivory front and mid beads. Rib is marked "Charles Daly - Superior Quality". Case colored scalloped boxlock action with pin type cocking indicators and automatic safety. Double under lug and crossbolt locking with dolls head extension and side clips. Double triggers. Action has approximately 50% coverage of arabesque scroll engraving with elaborate borders. Top of frame has a finely stippled non-glare surface. Forearm iron and breech end of bbls. have complimentary engraving and borders. Ebony schnabel tipped splinter forearm and rnd. knob pistol grip stock of fine European walnut with hand checkering. Additional checkering is found on the stock ears. Toe line of stock has a oval brass presentation plate. LOP: 14 1/8" over original grooved buttplate with floral engraved screw heads. DAC: 1 1/2". DAH: 2 11/16". Stock has a slight cast off. Bore Diameter: RT: .580, LT: .581. Choke Constriction: RT: .006, LT: .013. Minimum Wall Thickness: RT: .019, LT: .019. Weight: 4lbs. 15.8oz. CONDITION: fine. Bbls. retain over 98% of a fine rust reblue. Action has 70% lightly faded case coloring showing small dark spots. Very good wood with small handling marks has light coat of added finish. Very good checkering showing a few flattened diamonds. Action is tight and on face with top lever sitting at center. Bright near excellent bores. (25-3409/DS). CURIO. $17,500-25,000.
