Cal. 7.62x39. S# 5453. Bbl. 20 5/8". The Rashid rifle made in Egypt was a scaled down Hakim. Approx. 8.000 of these rifles were made in the 1960s chambered for the 7.62x39 cartridge w/ the inclusion of a folding blade bayonet. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1,000 meters. Post front sight w/ protective hood. Sight is adj. for windage. Threaded muzzle w/ protective cap. Left side of receiver has the Pschent Crown & "1968" manufacture date. Import mark on left side of receiver. Receiver also carries unknown Farsi script on left side. Cylindrical bolt handle on right side. Receiver cover carries stripper clip guides. Adj. gas system. 9 5/8" fullered blade bayonet. Provision for side sling. Unmarked hardwood stock & handguard. Smooth steel buttplate. MAGS: 1 Unmarked detachable 10 rd. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear & handling marks throughout. Metal retains 75% original blue finish w/ moderate wear & scratches. Very good shiny bore. (24-1349/RW). CURIO. $700-1,100.
