Cal. 44-40. S# 59. Bbl. 7 1/2" with webbed ejector housing & pinched screw in front sight. Model 1875 revolvers were manufactured from 1875 to 1889 with an estimated total of 25,000-30,000. The majority of these revolvers were produced with a nickel finish. Blued steel frame, bbl. & six shot fluted cyl. Smooth walnut grip panels. Lanyard ring at butt Top of bbl. marked "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A." Left side of frame under grips marked "59". Left grip panel marked "44 W". CONDITION: fine overall with metal retaining 60% original blue turning brown with age & scattered scratches, handling marks & areas of peppery oxidation. Hammer retains 60% bright original case colors. Very good grips exhibit a few scattered light dens & impressions. Good bore has strong rifling with light pitting in grooves. Trigger is very light.
