Cal. 7.5 French. F30983. Bbl. 23" with grenade launcher sight. Post-front sight. Aperture rear sight graduated to 1200m. Scarce full-length French-issue MAS 49 rifle. Most of the MAS 49 rifles were destroyed, and very few were imported into the USA. Rifle is configured as a sniper rifle with an original APX L806 scope and rubber eyepiece. Scope has a post-reticle and good optics. Matching numbers on the top cover & receiver. Other visible parts are unnumbered. Left side of the receiver has standard MAS 1949 markings and boxed "P66" arsenal overhaul marking. Parkerized finish. Beech stock set with left side sling hardware and original sling. Stock also has a 1962-dated MAS-made black rubber slip on the recoil pad. Stacking hook is present on the nosecap. MAGS: 5-10 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching-numbered importer box, 1987-dated matching-numbered French arsenal tag, manual, green scope can, action cover, spare sling, cleaning kit, French L806 manual. CONDITION: stock set appears lightly cleaned with some light staining, minor dings, & scattered handling marks. Metal 93% arsenal rework parkerized finish with scattered silvering, edge, and handling wear. Very good, bright bore.
