LUGER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH ACCESSORIES. Cal. 9x19mm Parabellum. S# 3602. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol, mfg. by Krieghoff in 1936. The bbl. extension is marked with an "S" (1936) date code over the chamber, with Krieghoff eagle acceptance proofs present on the right. Toggle is marked with Krieghoff's "HK" anchor logo above "KRIEGHOFF/ SUHL". External and internal components are all appropriately proofed. Rear of frame exhibits Krieghoff's distinctive "thumbprint" above the lanyard loop. Major metal components exhibit a high polished blue finish, with matte bluing present in the appropriate areas. Takedown lever, trigger, and safety lever exhibit a reheated straw finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Hermann Ritzmann & Sohne fine-checkered brown plastic grips. The Tin-plated Haenel mag. is marked with an Eagle/L police proof on the right side. All serialized components are matching and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, bbl., bbl. extension, breechblock, as well as the forward and rear toggle links. Mag. bottom has been renumbered to match. MAGS: 1 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: a properly proof Eagle/2 brown leather holster containing an Eagle/2-proofed loading tool. Pistol is also accompanied by a German WWII-era brown leather belt with Luftwaffe belt buckle, as well as a Swiss "CH.FLUCK/ 66/ GORGIER" marked brown leather mag. pouch containing a Paul Weyersberg & Co. gravity knife. CONDITION: pistol retains bountiful amounts of its original blue finish, exhibiting some wear and thinning (predominately on the grip straps) that show through to gray patina, with areas of pinprick pitting present on the rear of the frame and underside of the trigger guard. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as a few superficial handling marks, but otherwise are very good overall. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some wear, with areas of age-related cracking and crazing present overall. Luftwaffe belt and Swiss mag. pouch are very good overall. Gravity knife shows some light pitting on the blade and some scattered handling marks on the grip panels, but otherwise is very good overall. A very nice Krieghoff "S" code P.08 Luger. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Jim Williams. (24-2694/MLW). CURIO. $5,000-8,000.
