Right side of frame has gold inlaid setter w/ gold inlaid pointer on left side. Floorplate has circular vignette w/ relief carved standing pigeon against a stippled background. Trigger guard bow features a pair of quail. Scenes are surrounded by fine arabesque scroll engraving & fancy borders. Hinge pin along w/ top lever & top tang screws have sunburst engraving. Ebony tipped splinter forearm & straight grip walnut stock w/ brass nameplate in toeline. Forearm has fancy segmented checkering. Stock checkering features fleur-de-lis w/ additional checkering on ears. LOP: 14 1/8" over solid red London style pad & 1/4" spacer. DAC: 1 9/16". DAH: 2 3/16". Near neutral cast. Bore diameter: R .729 L .727. Choke constriction: R .028 L .028. Minimum wall thickness: R .033 L .035. Forcing cones & chambers are lengthened. WEIGHT: 7 lbs, 2.6 oz. Mfg. 1909. Also includes a 6 3/8" by 3 1/2" advertisement of the Flues model as introduced in 1909. Front page is marked Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co., Chicago, Ills. CONDITION: bbls. retain 90% original blue showing scattered wear spots. Action retains visible case colors in protected areas w/ balance having faded to a pleasing silvery gray.
