Cal. 32 ACP. S# 6994. Bbl. 3 3/4". The Jager-Pistole was one of the first, if not the first, sheet metal pistols. Mfg. started in shortly in October of 1914 with production continuing to a total of 13,000 pistols, some of which were military inspected during WWI. This standard configuration commercial example has the left side of the frame marked "JAGER-PISTOLE. D.R.P. ANGEM." surmounting the S# "6994". The right side of the frame is marked with a double Crown/N proof. Fitted with black finely checkered and bordered hard rubber grips. Bottom mag. release. Matching mag. with 6-indicator holes and a fixed floorplate whose forward extension acts as an aid in the disassembly. MAGS: 1 7-rd. CONDITION: 98% bright rust blue as carefully and professionally refurbished. Lettering and planes are sharp and flat. Bbl. pins, safety, trigger, and mag. release are in-the-white. VG-EXC original grips, the right panel having several areas of blunted checkering. While mag. has also been professionally re-rust blued, the S# on the base, adjacent to the takedown extension, is clearly visible. Bore generally bright with shallow etching, shallow rifling. Correct manual mechanics. (25-3473/LMA). CURIO. $1,500-2,500.
